About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Education team at Aspris Children's Services. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and young people with their educational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities to meet the needs of young people with autism and associated complex needs.
  • Support the development of individualized therapy plans and contribute to the creation of a calm, purposeful, and caring environment.
  • Communicate effectively with young people, staff, and parents to ensure seamless information sharing and collaboration.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Provide emotional support and care to young people, promoting their well-being and resilience.

Requirements

  • Resilience and ability to work with vulnerable children with varying degrees of emotional behavioral difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to ensure effective information sharing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Natural caring and compassionate approach to supporting young people with complex needs.
  • Attentive and able to understand individual needs and adapt to changing situations.
