About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Manager to join our team at GB010 Marsh Corporate Services. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of our annual Risk Management Plan and providing valued risk advice to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Deputy-Chief Risk Officer and the wider Risk Function to ensure the annual Risk Management Plan is delivered effectively.
  • Provide advice and market insights to the business and other stakeholders, ensuring the Risk Function is seen as a trusted partner.
  • Guide the business on the effective mitigation of risks, ensuring key risks have been identified and appropriate controls have been documented.
  • Work with relevant colleagues to ensure incidents and near misses have been captured with appropriate root cause analysis and management actions.
  • Share your own views on new and emerging risks facing the organization, taking into account your insights from meetings with the business and review of Key Risk Indicators and incident data.
  • Contribute to the collation and production of high-quality, targeted risk reporting for the Risk Committees, Board, and Executives.
  • Help implement the annual Risk Management plan, taking into account internal and external priorities and focus areas.
  • Support the wider Risk agenda as needed by working closely with Compliance and other functions and colleagues in the UK and globally.

Requirements:

  • Extensive and broad second-line risk management experience, including leading on key risk management processes such as risk and control assessments, incident management, control reviews, and development of KRIs.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with a range of senior stakeholders on risk matters, with sufficient experience to provide your own market insights and drive engagement and competency in risk management.
  • Financial Services experience, preferably in the insurance, broking, or investment consulting industry.
  • Risk Management qualification.
  • Breadth of experience in either Consulting, Internal Audit, Controls, in addition to experience in second-line Risk Management.
