Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract basis, covering a period of maternity leave for 12 months with an option to extend.

This role will be ideal for a skilled writer with excellent communication and organisational skills. As the Public Relations Specialist, you will report to the Marketing Manager and play a key role in raising the profile of Radis Community Care, sharing our news and stories, and building our reputation across England and Wales.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Write press releases for traditional and digital press, ensuring optimisation for online audiences.
  • Interview internal and external stakeholders and support spokespeople with media interviews.
  • Build relationships with journalists, create relevant media lists, and coordinate media requests.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and news.
  • Develop ideas and write proactive news stories.
  • Conduct media monitoring, track press coverage, and report on the performance of activities.
  • Write engaging copy for various purposes, including press releases, blogs, award entries, and campaigns.
  • Create and deliver communication plans, incorporating press and social media strategies to drive reach, engagement, and brand awareness.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A relevant university degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

Working Pattern: 20-25 hours per week, with a flexible working arrangement to be agreed upon with the successful candidate.

Location: This is a remote role with occasional travel to our Head Office in Tamworth.
