At The Mossbourne Federation, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Consultant to provide expert guidance and support in all areas of human resources management. This role will involve applying a solid understanding of HR principles and building positive relationships with colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide trusted advice, guidance, and support on HR operations, including performance management, disciplinary processes, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Manage HR case work, enquiries, and projects efficiently and timely, including employee benefits, onboarding, and induction activities.
  • Produce monthly HR reports and dashboards, and report regularly on HR-related matters.
  • Draft letters to support performance, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
  • Support leaders with performance appraisal, threshold, and pay review processes.
  • Keep HR systems and trackers updated in line with SCR, confidentiality, and GDPR requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and review of current HR policies and processes.
  • Work alongside Central Services colleagues and Academy leaders to promote a positive work environment.
  • Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring organisational compliance.
  • Provide cover for the HR Administrator when required.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience working in a HR advisory role, preferably in Education or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ATS, and HRIS.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a future HR certification such as CIPD.
