About the Role

We are recruiting for a Practice Development Midwife Lead to join our team on the Isle of Wight. As a key member of the maternity team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering the Maternity Training Programme, ensuring that all staff receive high-quality training and education.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in midwifery, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and wider teams. You will also have a passion for innovation, a commitment to patient-centred care, and a willingness to embrace change to improve safety and the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of educational resources
  • Collaborate with the obstetric lead consultant on education matters
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programme
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues

Requirements:

  • Two years post-qualification experience
  • Sign-off mentor/Practice Assessor qualification
  • Evidence of continued practice development
  • Evidence of IT training or practice
  • Line leadership course

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum
