Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Midwife to join our team as a Midwife Training Specialist. This exciting opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of high-quality maternity services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering the Maternity Training Programme, working closely with the obstetric lead consultant for education. You will also be an innovative expert practitioner with a passion for providing patient-centred care, able to demonstrate leadership qualities and change management skills.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering the Maternity Training Programme throughout the year for the whole MDT.
  • Developing and implementing training programmes to improve clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance their skills and confidence.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong background in midwifery, with significant experience in both acute and community settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • A sound understanding of IT systems, including data recording and interpretation.
  • Able to work flexible hours and participate in rotation of areas according to service need.

The salary for this position is approximately £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including a cycle-to-work scheme, discounts at local businesses, and flexible working arrangements.
