We are seeking a qualified SEN teaching assistant to work with a child with epilepsy in a full-time 1:1 role. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the child's academic, emotional, and social development.

About the Role:

  • ">
  • Provide tailored, one-on-one support to a student with epilepsy throughout their school day.">
  • Assist with the child's academic progress, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs.">
  • Be vigilant in monitoring the child's health and well-being, particularly in relation to managing epilepsy, and act quickly if a seizure occurs.">
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement personalised learning strategies and accommodations.">
  • Support the child's emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with peers.">
  • Maintain accurate records of the child's progress, health concerns, and any interventions or strategies used.">
  • Follow school policies and health and safety procedures, ensuring the child's safety at all times.">

About You:

">

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and excellent communication skills to liaise with the child, staff, and parents. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with health needs is essential.
