Job PurposeThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to lead all IT Sales opportunities and projects from start to finish.
As our IT product specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and IT customers, understanding their requirements and translating them into viable technical solutions.
You will stay up-to-date with current market trends and work closely with our Sales Team to identify untapped IT opportunities within their customer bases and increase opportunities to cross and upsell.
Responsibilities- Be our 'IT Champion' of Welcomm, being the first port of call for all IT Sales queries and opportunities.
- Manage and oversee all IT opportunities for the business from scope to quotation and implementation.
- Collaborate with internal teams on IT opportunities and projects, including other IT Consultants, Account Managers, and our IT Technical Support Team.
- Attend prospective IT customer Sales meetings to maximise closing deals.
- Create and deliver IT training sessions for the Sales Team, coaching and upskilling colleagues when required.
- Develop marketing/sales collateral for the IT vertical, including writing and posting blogs for social media.
- Proven track-record in a pre-sales or technical consulting role within IT, demonstrating the ability to assess customer needs and tailor IT solutions to meet those needs effectively.
- Minimum 2+ years in an IT Support role and an IT Engineer role.
- Proficiency in IT Infrastructure (Servers, Endpoints, Networking), Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure), and Networking Concepts (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Access Points).
- Sound understanding of Windows Operating Systems (both Windows Desktop and Windows Server).
- Experience working with Virtualisation Technologies (such as Hyper-V and VMware).
