Dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join our team at a Catholic primary school in Sefton. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with a child with complex needs in a year 1 class and make a meaningful impact on their life.
The successful candidate will have strong behaviour management skills and be able to maintain accurate records of student progress. They will also have experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the teacher in managing classroom activities and ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Assisting with the development of strategies to support student learning and communication.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and reporting any concerns to the teacher or senior staff member.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months' experience working in a similar role.
- An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
