Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled class teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting students with challenging behaviour in a SEMH setting.

About the Role:

  • Teach and support students with SEMH needs, developing and implementing effective strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver targeted interventions and support plans.
  • Provide regular progress updates and contribute to student assessments and reporting.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives and developments.

About the Location:

The role is based in Carshalton, located in the London Borough of Sutton. We offer a competitive daily rate of GBP160 - GBP250 and a contract type of 5 days a week, Full-Time.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching KS3 or primary-aged students, ideally in a PRU or similar setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of learners.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a proactive approach to working with students with additional challenges.
  • A valid DBS on the update service.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Proven teaching experience.
