Senior Project Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a confident and experienced Senior Project Lead to join our Construction Project Delivery Service area at Southampton City Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of a range of construction projects, with a focus on general capital fund schemes, including the Outdoor Sports Centre Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of construction projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including project team members, contractors, and council officials.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with council objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
