Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Project Management Group, responsible for delivering strategically important projects across our diverse marine science, research infrastructure, and corporate infrastructure portfolio.
The successful candidate will have experience in applying both waterfall and Agile project management methodologies to achieve successful project outcomes. They will be a confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with engineers, scientists, corporate staff, and senior stakeholders to enable project delivery.
The Project Manager will be responsible for providing professional project management expertise to support accountable project owners, including fixed- and moving-goal projects. They will also contribute to our community of professional practice by maintaining an awareness of current best practice and trends in project management and sharing their knowledge and learning with other project practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project management plans, including project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, scientists, and corporate staff
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives
- Apply Agile and waterfall project management methodologies to achieve successful project outcomes
- Contribute to the development of project management best practices and trends
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management, with a focus on strategic initiatives, business transformation, or operational excellence
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and waterfall
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Strong business acumen, with a focus on business outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction
