Adult Principal Practitioner Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our innovative psychology team at Ardenleigh, part of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The Women's Secure Blended Service (WSBS) at Ardenleigh has a national reputation for its gender-sensitive, trauma-informed model of care and commitment to co-production and improvement.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing safe and containing environments and interventions to help individuals understand themselves, their mental health, and offending behavior.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and specialist clinical input across the pathway.
- Work with adults with mental health presentations, psychological difficulties, neurodiversity, and complex needs and risks.
- Contribute to a culture that is psychologically safe and promotes staff wellbeing.

Person Specification:
- Doctoral level professional training in clinical psychology.
- Eligibility for entry onto the Register of Chartered Psychologists.
- Post-doctoral training in highly specialist areas of psychological practice/therapy.
Experience:
- Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical/forensic psychologist for a minimum of 4 years post-qualification.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, including those with complex needs and risks.
Skills:
- Highly developed theoretical and practical knowledge of clinical psychology.
- Skills in providing consultation and advice from a psychological perspective.

Salary: £62,215 to £72,293 a year, pro rata
