Mental Health Practitioner Psychologist Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist to join our team as a Practitioner Psychologist in the Psychiatric Liaison Team and Psychiatric Decisions Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to develop expertise and experience in an acute hospital service setting.
This post represents a new challenge for a dynamic and supportive Acute and Urgent Care Psychological Service within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Description- Supporting department staff in offering basic psychological support in their routine clinical practice;
- You will need to be able to demonstrate a highly developed understanding of the psychological impact of compromised physical health and be able to adapt your psychological interventions accordingly;
Experience in working in a physical health setting is desirable, but not essential. You will work closely with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide high-quality care, and you will need strong skills in consultation, supervision, and teaching.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £45,753 - £60,068 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including time and funding for service-related CPD and flexible working arrangements.
