Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Full time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team working within inpatient services for people with Intellectual Disabilities at Brooklands Hospital.

The post is split across the Specialist Assessment and Treatment service for adults and the Adolescent Inpatient Service.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with other psychologists on service development projects, to deliver training and develop groups and other interventions.

This will include clinical input in the form of assessments, individual and group therapies, team formulation, reflective practice and supporting other staff to undertake psychological interventions.

You will also be involved in providing training and supervision to others and contributing to and leading on service development projects and undertaking audit and research.

About the Role

The SATS and CAMHS Psychological Services team are part of a wider Psychological Services team on the Brooklands site.

The psychology department is a well-established and supportive service and successful applicants will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities.

The service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence-based interventions are provided to people who present considerable risk to themselves or others, to ensure that they can return to a less restrictive environment in the community as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

The post holder will have post qualification experience of working with adults and/or young people with Intellectual Disabilities in community or inpatient settings.

If you do not yet meet the criteria for the band 8a role, we will also support applications from candidates that meet the criteria for the band 7 role and job description.
