Youth Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at Peabody. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to young residents aged 16-17, helping them to regain their independence and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide regular welfare checks and support to residents, taking into account their individual needs and support plans.
- Collaborate with external services to ensure residents receive the best possible support.
- Manage a group of young residents with complex needs, offering practical and emotional support to help them achieve their goals.
- Establish consistent, trusting relationships with residents, ensuring they feel secure and supported.
- Work autonomously, navigating and defusing difficult situations to prevent escalation.
- Experience of working with teenagers aged 16-17.
- Experience of managing challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge or experience of safeguarding and trauma-informed principles.
