Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Collections Development Senior Coordinator to join our team at Lincolnshire County Council's Culture Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the implementation of collections management, development, care, and access for our substantial archive collection.

About the Role:

This role involves the maintenance of Archive Service Accreditation and Place of Deposit status, including proper management in reference to legal frameworks such as the Public Records Act, Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Copyright, and Intellectual Property Right Laws.

You will be responsible for leading the team through change, inspiring, and developing innovative archives services that meet the needs of our communities, visitors, and collections. Immediate priorities include initiating a digital collections and preservation strategy, undertaking collections review, and developing storage assessments and reconfiguration projects.

Requirements:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Archives & Records Management
  • Archive experience including collections management, care, and access (with significant local authority experience for Senior level applicants)
  • A drive for developing innovative, user-focused, and engaging archives services
  • An excellent understanding of collections management and associated digital development
  • Problem-solving skills, stamina, and a drive for transformation
