Custody Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Custody Support Specialist. In this role, you will work with participants in both custodial and community settings, providing support and guidance to help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement.
As a Custody Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants, developing skills, and finding sustainable employment. You will also undergo enhanced vetting checks and work in custody at HMP Spring Hill (Buckinghamshire).
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of participants in both custodial and community settings.
- Provide high-quality support and guidance to help participants overcome barriers to successful resettlement.
- Develop skills and find sustainable employment for participants.
- Undergo enhanced vetting checks.
- Work in custody at HMP Spring Hill (Buckinghamshire).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and motivational skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to the rehabilitation of prisoners and the ability to work independently.
- An awareness, understanding, and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
- The ability to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at an enhanced level and successfully pass prison vetting.
- 25 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays), with incremental increases post 3 years' service up to 28 days, and the option to purchase additional holiday.
- 2 days paid volunteering leave each year.
