We are seeking a dedicated Resettlement Support Specialist to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a criminal record as they reintegrate into society.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who shares our commitment to rehabilitation and reintegration. As a Resettlement Support Specialist, you will manage a caseload of participants in both custodial and community settings, providing high-quality support and guidance to help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, understanding their unique needs and circumstances.
- Provide tailored support and guidance to help participants achieve agreed milestones and develop skills essential for sustainable employment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
- Prioritize the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults, upholding our organization's values and commitment to their welfare.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills: Active listening, motivational, and empathetic approaches to build trust and rapport with diverse participants.
- Demonstrated Commitment to Rehabilitation: A genuine passion for supporting individuals with a criminal record, coupled with the ability to work independently and provide community-based support.
- Personal Qualities: Adaptability, resilience, and a solutions-focused mindset to navigate complex situations and prioritize participant well-being.
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including:
- Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Annual Leave: 25 days (plus bank holidays), increasing to 28 days after three years' service.
