Job Overview

At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, we are seeking a skilled Healthcare Professional to enhance patient experience through personal and compassionate care. This role is ideal for trained therapists who can assist with aromatherapy, reflexology, and massage in our chemo suites at Stoke Mandeville & Wycombe Hospitals.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to handle difficult situations. The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to stand/walk for 3 hours. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal and compassionate care to patients in the chemo suite.
  • Assist with aromatherapy, reflexology, and massage treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year's experience of professional practice.
  • Registration with a recognised professional body and £1 million professional indemnity insurance cover.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and ability to maintain a calm manner when dealing with distressed individuals.
  • Good listening skills, motivation, and willingness to learn and complete training.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a valued member of our team, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
