About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Trades Training Specialist to join our team at HMP Norwich.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction trades and be able to deliver quality training and employability support to learners. Our mission is to provide comprehensive education and training services that meet the needs of our clients, including those with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing Individual Learning Plans: Create individual learning plans that align with learners' long-term employment goals.
  2. Learner Progression Review: Regularly review learner progression to ensure training meets their identified needs.
  3. Comprehensive Lesson Planning: Prepare, deliver, and review lesson plans addressing group training needs.
  4. Feedback and Curriculum Refining: Gather feedback from learners and other sources, refining curriculum content accordingly.
  5. Meeting KPIs: Meet contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for success and performance.
  6. Adherence to Policies: Adhere to Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Data Protection policies.
  7. OFSTED Standards: Demonstrate clear understanding of the OFSTED framework (EIF) and ability to meet all standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Teaching Qualification: Level 3 Teaching qualification (e.g., AET / PTLLS/ CertEd).
  2. Assessing Qualification: L3 Assessing qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  3. Health and Safety: Health and Safety qualification at L3 or above.
  4. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in construction trades.
  5. Certifications: Successful applicants must undergo DBS or DS check and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK.
Estimated Salary Range:

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
