Business Development Lead

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a strategic long-term sales plan, leading and developing high-performing sales teams, and driving significant year-on-year sales growth.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in a sales management role, with experience in a metal works environment. They will also have strong leadership and management skills, as well as financial acumen relating to sales budgets and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Create a strategic long-term sales plan that aligns with the company's business objectives.
- Lead and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, driving significant year-on-year sales growth.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
The estimated salary for this role is £58,000 - £63,000 per annum, based on the location of Huddersfield and the surrounding areas. The benefits package includes 23 days' annual leave, 8% combined pension, and flexible working hours.
Requirements:
- Proven strategic sales planning experience.
- Experience as a Sales Manager or similar within a metal works environment.
- Strong leadership and management experience.
- Financial acumen relating to sales budgets and profitability.
- Proficiency in CRM system and data-driven strategies.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a track record of securing high-value contracts.
