Role Overview:

The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for delivering comprehensive legal and contractual guidance to support the Company's tendering operations. This includes the thorough review, assessment, and negotiation of contract terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Company's insurers to ensure that contract stipulations align with existing global policies.
  • Engage with Finance and Legal teams regarding security bonds and guarantees.
  • Provide legal and contractual assistance during project execution, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Offer strategic advice and support in resolving contractual and commercial disputes with clients.
  • Oversee the legal management of variation orders.
  • Support procurement activities by evaluating the legitimacy of subcontractor VOR claims.
  • Advise on the formation of supplier agreements and the placement of purchase orders.
  • Deliver legal counsel across various domains, including corporate, insurance, contract law, dispute resolution, employment, migration, and injury management as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:

A relevant law degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in a senior legal capacity within a major corporation, ideally in the international energy sector or recognized law firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills paired with a solid commercial acumen.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Experience working in an international team environment.
