About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Safety Specialist to join our Risk Advisory department at DNV. As a Principal Technical Safety Consultant, you will be part of a growing team of specialists providing safety and integrity engineering and risk management services to the onshore and offshore energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality technical safety projects, balancing competing demands and optimizing chargeable time
  • Engage closely with customers and collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for innovation and emerging technologies
  • Proactively seek innovative opportunities to improve delivery processes and support team growth and development
  • Support the development of less experienced team members, equipping them with skills to understand project scope and delivery schedules
  • Contribute to the development of the next generation of technical safety professionals
Requirements
  • Proven technical safety specialist with consulting experience in the energy or a similar technical/engineering industry
  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant STEM discipline such as Physics or Mathematics
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration between internal teams and promote innovative opportunities for service offerings
  • Experience in leading technical teams, delegating work, and optimizing resources to achieve commercial, quality, and customer satisfaction targets
  • Confident managing medium to large-scale projects, carrying out quality assurance, and driving work to completion
