Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Designer to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality control and instrumentation systems for our clients.

About the Role

  • Review project schedules with the Lead Instrument Engineer to ensure that all dates and project requirements are realistic.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific standards and job notes.
  • Design and produce instrument drawings and deliverables, including air distribution schedules, instrument cable block diagrams, and termination detail drawings.
  • Develop and review instrument deliverables, such as cable and drum schedules, cable racking/routing drawings, and instrument representation on the model.
  • Liaise with engineers to ensure design intent is implemented.
  • Perform site surveys and attend to site construction queries.
  • Notify the Lead Instrument Engineer of any deficiencies in the flow of data or other basic information required for execution of work.
  • Assist the Lead Instrument Engineer with estimates, progress assessment, and control of manpower on assigned projects.
