Children's Welfare Team Lead

Ashberry Recruitment seeks a Children's Welfare Team Lead to manage a team in Sefton.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day management of a team of Social Workers and other professionals in delivering statutory duties and requirements.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Sefton while managing risk effectively.
- Meting key performance targets for the team, service, and Council.
- Collaborating with teams across the Council and partners to promote equality of opportunity and joint working.
- Promoting and embracing Sefton's child care policies and delivering its vision of making children safe, secure, and successful.
- Ensuring high-quality practice with children, young people, and families through multi-disciplinary resources.
This role requires
- DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
- Ability to work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency setups
- Familiarity with service needs
- Flexible approach to work and working hours
The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
