A leading UK company in the Environmental, Waste and Energy Recovery sectors is looking for a skilled Health & Safety Advisor to join their team at their Energy from Waste site in Buckinghamshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Health & Safety standards across the site, which processes up to 300,000 tonnes of waste per year.

Job Summary:

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies during day-to-day operations.

You will work closely with the operational team to identify and mitigate risks, and provide training and guidance on Health & Safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain Health & Safety standards across the Energy from Waste Power Station.
  2. Monitor performance against targets, objectives, and KPIs.
  3. Prepare H&S reports, including statistical and performance data.
  4. Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings as required.
  5. Conduct audits and manage external auditor relationships for all HSE procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant professional qualification, including NEBOSH or equivalent Level 3 Health & Safety qualification.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental role, gained in a heavy engineering environment (Power/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Water).
  2. Knowledge of UK HSE legislation and quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001).
