Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Developer/Support Analyst to join our team at Worldline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our mainframe applications, which are critical to the UK rail industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7x365 support for mainframe applications, including fixing bugs and applying maintenance changes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with support teams in customer organizations in the UK rail industry.
  • Analyze complex COBOL programs and provide descriptions of the functionality represented by the code.
  • Deliver solutions to incidents and failures in the production service, including small enhancements and larger rejuvenation projects.
  • Participate in on-call duties and contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a 3rd Level Application Technical Support role, with a strong background in mainframe COBOL, CICS, JCL, and Adabas/NATURAL.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, and without supervision.
  • Awareness of potential functional/technical/commercial implications of issues or decisions, and the ability to clearly explain these to stakeholders.
