We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Developer/Support Analyst to join our team at Worldline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our mainframe applications, which are critical to the UK rail industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7x365 support for mainframe applications, including fixing bugs and applying maintenance changes.
  • Develop relationships with support teams in customer organizations in the UK rail industry.
  • Analyze complex COBOL programs and provide descriptions of the functionality represented by the code.
  • Deliver solutions to incidents and failures in the production service, as well as small and larger enhancements to the applications.
  • Participate in the enhancement/development lifecycle, including functional specification, technical specification, code and unit test, system test, and implementation planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a 3rd Level Application Technical Support role working with complex applications in mainframe COBOL, CICS, JCL, Adabas, and NATURAL.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, with fluent English skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders via telephone and email.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering to tight deadlines under pressure without supervision, particularly in a 24x7x365 support environment.
  • Awareness and appreciation of potential functional/technical/commercial implications of issues or decisions, and the ability to clearly explain these to the customer.
