About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our customers, with a focus on mainframe migration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions for mainframe migration
  • Work with customers to understand their mainframe migration needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of cloud-based solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of cloud-based solutions
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
  • Background in cloud architecture, systems design, software development, infrastructure architecture, data engineering, or DevOps
  • Extensive experience with mainframe, non-x86 legacy systems, and technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 for z/OS, Assembler, PL/I, Java, Rexx, flat/sequential files, GDGs, and VSAM
  • Experience migrating workloads from mainframe and non-x86 legacy systems to distributed x86 infrastructures on-premises or in the Cloud
