About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Developer/Support Analyst to join our team at Worldline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our mainframe applications, which are critical to the UK rail industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24x7x365 support for mainframe applications, including fixing bugs and applying maintenance changes.
  • Develop relationships with support teams in customer organizations in the UK rail industry.
  • Analyze complex COBOL programs and provide descriptions of the functionality represented by the code.
  • Deliver solutions to incidents raised by customers, including small enhancements to the applications.
  • Participate in the enhancement/development lifecycle, including functional specification, technical specification, code and unit test, system test, and implementation planning.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a 3rd Level Application Technical Support role working with complex applications coded in mainframe COBOL, CICS, JCL in an IBM Z/OS mainframe environment.
  • Experience working in Adabas and NATURAL.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, fluent English skills, and ability to communicate with stakeholders on a day-to-day basis via telephone and email in a clear, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering to tight deadlines under pressure without supervision, particularly in a 24x7x365 support environment.
