Senior Financial Analyst

VANRATH is partnering with a large Public Sector body in County Antrim to recruit a Project Accountant for an interim role. This 6-month contract offers a salary of £43,000 - £50,000 and potential for a permanent position. The Project Accountant will lead a small team of finance professionals in manipulating and interpreting large data sets, analyzing trends and patterns, and presenting results to Senior Management.
About You
You are a qualified accountant with at least 1 year PQE and supervisory experience. Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and Power BI, are beneficial. Your ability to communicate directly with non-finance stakeholders and work at short notice is essential. As a data-driven accountant, you will bring numbers to life and make recommendations for improvements and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team of data analysts to ensure daily tasks are completed
- Review and validate financial reporting results
- Analyze trends & patterns to produce accurate financial reports for senior management
- Present and discuss financial figures to senior leaders, making recommendations for improvement
- Ad hoc project accounting
