Financial Transaction Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Administrator to join our established team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities:- Credit Control: Making calls and sending emails to customers ensuring payments are received and correctly allocated.
- Purchase Ledger: Accepting stock, processing purchase invoices, accurately coding up and resolving any invoice approval issues.
- Sales Ledger: Processing returns, issuing credit notes and clearing general customer enquiries.
- Purchase Reconciliation: Assisting the purchasing department to ensure data is accurate for later reconciliation for accounting purposes.
- Expense Management: Monitoring and processing employee expense claims and ensuring they comply with company policy.
- General Ledger: Assisting in maintaining accurate general ledger entries and resolving discrepancies.
- Setting up supplier accounts, maintaining existing account details within purchase and sales ledgers.
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Maintaining existing spreadsheets to assist with financial planning.
- Dealing with supplier queries via phone or email.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in accounts administration or bookkeeping.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and tax regulations is a plus.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field are preferred.
