We are recruiting a dedicated Supporting Young Learners with Additional Needs professional to join our team at Academics Ltd. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and work collaboratively with our experienced educators.

Job Overview:

This dynamic position involves providing comprehensive support to students with SEN in various primary schools. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to develop and implement personalized education plans, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEN best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents. They will also be able to think creatively and maintain accurate records of student progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement personalized education plans.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily tasks as needed.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional growth.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work flexibly and adapt to different school environments.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
