**Job Description:**

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Religious Studies Specialist Teacher to join our school community.

The successful candidate will have the ability to design and deliver engaging lessons, promoting critical thinking and understanding of different religious perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality religious studies lessons, incorporating diverse religious traditions and their historical, cultural, and ethical aspects.
  • Create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages open dialogue and appreciation of diverse religious perspectives.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, utilising a variety of teaching strategies and resources.
  • Lead class discussions and facilitate respectful debates on religious and ethical issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their personal spiritual development and exploration of their own beliefs.

Requirements:

  • QTS or relevant teaching experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple religious traditions and their historical and cultural contexts.
  • Strong understanding of religious ethics, philosophies, and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse religious beliefs and perspectives.
  • Possession of a passion for teaching and a commitment to students' intellectual and spiritual growth.

Estimated Salary:** £29,344 - £44,919 per annum.
