The role:
· Develop and deliver comprehensive religious studies curriculum, incorporating diverse religious traditions and their historical, cultural, and ethical aspects
· Teach students about the beliefs, rituals, scriptures, and teachings of different religions
· Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages open dialogue and appreciation of diverse religious perspectives
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons, utilising a variety of teaching strategies and resources
· Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and ethical reasoning in students' exploration of religious topics
· Lead class discussions and facilitate respectful debates on religious and ethical issues
· Provide guidance and support to students in their personal spiritual development and exploration of their own beliefs
The Ideal Candidate:
· QTS or relevant teaching experience is preferred
· In-depth knowledge of multiple religious traditions and their historical and cultural contexts
· Strong understanding of religious ethics, philosophies, and practices
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse religious beliefs and perspectives
· Passion for teaching and a commitment to students' intellectual and spiritual growth
