Schools SEND Leader Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Leader to join our team at a local school. As a key member of the staff, you will play a vital role in leading on SEND provision and ensuring that all students have access to the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching children with SEND and hold the necessary qualifications, including Qualified Teacher Status and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NA SENCO). They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
Main Responsibilities:- To lead on SEND provision and ensure that all students have access to the curriculum.
- To provide guidance and support to colleagues on inclusive teaching practices and statutory duties related to SEND.
- To develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEND.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including parents and external agencies.
- To contribute to the development of a Trauma Informed School approach to behaviour support.
- Registration with Prospero Teaching and completion of required vetting checks.
- Possession of a Right to Work in the UK.
- Holding an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
- Providing two professional child-related references.
