Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Dietetic Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our team of dietitians in delivering high-quality patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting dietitians in carrying out dietetic programs as directed.
2. Implementing programs as directed by the dietitian, progressing agreed programs without direct supervision when required.
3. Working with patients and carers in various settings, including acute, community, or outpatient settings.
4. Communicating effectively with patients and carers, using verbal and non-verbal communication tools to progress dietetic therapy.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records according to Trust and professional standards.
7. Ensuring clinical skills are maintained through clinical supervision and continuing education.
8. Providing education and training as delegated.
9. Participating in the induction, training of students, and other staff as appropriate.
10. Contributing to the ongoing development of services.
