Job Title: Dietetic Assistant

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Job Description
  • Assist Dietitians in carrying out dietetic programs as directed, using skilled support work that may be self-directed.
  • Implement programs as directed by the Dietitian, progressing agreed programs without direct supervision when required following achievement of required competencies.
  • Work with groups of patients/carers in various settings, including acute, community, or outpatient settings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and carers to progress dietetic therapy, using verbal and non-verbal tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (Health or Education).
  • All candidates would be expected to work towards a Level 3 qualification in post if post holder does not already have a relevant equivalent qualification at this level.
  • Level 1 or Minimum grade D/E GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent), must be prepared to work toward Level 2 in Maths.
