About the Role:

At Devon County Council, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Atkinson Secure Children's Home in Exeter. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to young people aged 10-17 who have been granted a secure accommodation order by the courts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care to young people, addressing their unique needs and challenges.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Support young people in their education and vocational skills, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
  • Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment, using positive behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
