Job Title: Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Support Worker to join our team at Devon County Council. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to children and young people in our residential homes.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our residents. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring that each resident receives the support and care they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Encourage and facilitate residents to participate in activities and hobbies
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of the team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
