About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional research professional with expertise in Li-ion battery cathode materials characterisation and cell fabrication to join our team at Newcastle University.

This is a fixed-term position available immediately for an initial period of two years, with the potential for extension. You will be working closely with industrial partners to support the development of production processes by characterising, testing, and evaluating recycled materials and products at various stages of manufacturing.

The successful candidate will have experience in physical-chemical materials characterisations, electrochemical energy conversion and storage, and battery manufacturing. You will be part of a dynamic international team collaborating on a cutting-edge project to recycle and reuse Li-ion battery materials.

As a research specialist, you will have the opportunity to travel, meet partner institutes, and access state-of-the-art facilities. This role offers a chance to work alongside a diverse research group and PhD students engaged in various groundbreaking battery research projects.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
