About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team in the modelling of solid-state battery materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, carrying out and analysing computational simulations to explore the intrinsic properties of state-of-the-art cathodes and their stability and direct interaction with solid electrolytes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute computational simulations to investigate the properties of solid-state battery materials
  • Liaise with the principal investigator and other team members to plan and organise the work programme
  • Disseminate research results through publications in high-quality academic journals
  • Contribute to existing and new interdisciplinary collaborations
  • Train and assist undergraduate and postgraduate students in theoretical techniques and computational methods

Requirements

  • Experience in the simulation of solid-state and/or energy materials
  • Experience in molecular dynamics and electronic structure simulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of problem-solving capacity
