About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate in Bayesian Statistics to join our team at Newcastle University. The successful candidate will work on developing prior distributions to estimate the structure of trees and the number of trees in a BART model by applying a novel methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct theoretical modelling, data analysis, and research along the lines of the programme of the funded project.
- Present outputs of the research from the research team to scientific and non-scientific audiences, in written and oral form.
- Contribute to the positive culture and general strengths of the research group and the School.
Requirements
- Excellent technical skills in computational methods for Bayesian inference and data analysis.
- A track record of high-quality research outputs related to the goals of the project.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write research publications and to effectively communicate results to the scientific community.
