About the Role

Newcastle University is seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Research Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work on an interdisciplinary programme in Geometric Group Theory and Computing, funded by the Leverhulme Foundation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct independent research into areas outlined in the Leverhulme Foundation project description.
  2. Collaborate with investigators from Pure Mathematics and the School of Computing to bridge gaps between disciplines.
  3. Present research outputs to expert mathematics and computing audiences, as well as non-scientific audiences.
Requirements
  1. PhD award in a relevant discipline.
  2. Honours Degree in a relevant discipline.
  3. Excellent theoretical and technical ability.
  4. A track record of high quality research outputs.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
