Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced KS2 class teacher to join our team in Handsworth. The successful candidate will lead one of the foundation subjects for Key Stage 2 (KS2) and deliver engaging lessons to a class of 25-30 students.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver creative and interactive lessons in line with the National Curriculum, promoting student engagement and understanding.
  2. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  3. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to plan and coordinate curriculum-wide activities and events.
  4. Subject Leadership: Lead one of the foundation subjects for KS2, contributing to the development of the subject area and supporting colleagues.
  5. Classroom Environment: Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and wellbeing.
  6. Communication: Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate regularly with families about student progress.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Experience: Experience teaching in a primary school setting, specifically Year 4.
  3. National Curriculum: Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for primary education.
  4. Classroom Management: Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Passion for Teaching: A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
