Job Summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Wood House Care Home in Bristol. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our service users, ensuring their physical, social, psychological, and emotional needs are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement evidence-based individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programs.
  • Lead and supervise the support and nursing teams to deliver exceptional person-centered care, utilizing clinical governance and personal development.
  • Manage sickness, staff training, and development, as well as coaching and mentoring.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and colleagues, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and working relationship skills.
  • Assist service users with mobility or continence needs, utilizing appropriate aids and equipment.
  • Provide personalized care and support to ensure personal hygiene needs are met.
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness to ensure the safety of service users and colleagues.

Requirements

  • QCF Level 3 or above
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager
  • Experience supporting the elderly
  • Strong knowledge of person-centered care
  • Ability to work closely with residents, assessing their needs and delivering a care plan that enhances their quality of life
