Job Summary
Shaw Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Wood House Care Home in Bristol. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and support to our service users, ensuring their physical, social, psychological, and emotional needs are met.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programs.
- Lead and supervise the support and nursing teams to deliver exceptional person-centered care using clinical governance and personal development.
- Manage sickness, staff training, and development, as well as coaching and mentoring.
- Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and colleagues, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and working relationship skills.
- Assist service users with mobility or continence needs, using appropriate aids and equipment.
- Provide care and support to ensure personal hygiene needs are met.
- Maintain a safe environment for service users and colleagues, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- QCF Level 3 or above
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager
- Experience supporting the elderly
- Strong knowledge of person-centered care
- Ability to work closely with residents, assessing their needs and delivering tailored care plans.
