Job Title: Careers Advisor - In-Custody Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Careers Advisor to join our team at HMP/YOI Norwich. As a Careers Advisor, you will deliver high-quality, impartial careers information, advice, and guidance to offenders, helping them to explore their skills, aspirations, and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-custody careers information, advice, and guidance to offenders
  • Develop and deliver careers/employability workshops
  • Build relationships with local employers and key suppliers
  • Support offenders with their education and employment, both in-custody and through the gate

Requirements:

  • Level 3 IAG qualification
  • Experience of providing quality careers information, advice, and guidance to clients
  • Experience of developing and delivering careers/employability workshops
  • A passion to inspire, motivate, and lead by example to support achievement of qualifications and career aspirations
  • Confidence in using a range of presentation and communication skills
  • A background in working with disadvantaged people in a secure environment is desirable
  • IAG Level 4 Qualification or willingness to work towards
