Careers Information Specialist

Job Role: Careers Advisor
As a Careers Advisor with PeoplePlus, you will provide high-quality, impartial in-custody careers information, advice, and guidance to offenders. Your role will involve working with individuals to understand their aspirations and long-term goals, supporting them with their education and employment both in-custody and after release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering careers information, advice, and guidance to offenders
- Developing and delivering careers/employability workshops
- Building relationships with local employers and key suppliers
- Supporting learners with their induction into the prison and education and training options
- Developing Personal Learning Plans to support individuals in achieving their goals
Requirements:
- Level 3 IAG qualification
- Experience of providing quality careers information, advice, and guidance
- Experience of developing and delivering careers/employability workshops
- Passion to inspire and motivate individuals to achieve their goals
- Confidence in using presentation and communication skills
- A background in working with disadvantaged people in a secure environment is desirable
- IAG Level 4 Qualification or willingness to work towards
Working Hours: Part-time, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 - 4:30, Friday 8:30 - 12:15
